After three months of closed development and polishing with hundreds of beta users, MakerSNS AI 2.0 is officially live today. This update is more than a version bump — it is a rethinking of what "AI for work" should mean.
Why WPS?
In the past, AI tools lived outside of office software. You had to generate content on a web page, copy it, paste it into a document, and then fix the formatting. This disjointed experience held AI back from real production workflows.
MakerSNS AI 2.0 uses WPS Add-in technology to live directly in the editor sidebar. It reads the paragraph at your cursor, understands the context, and edits the document in place.

- Local RAG: Mount a local folder as a knowledge base — all indexing happens locally, so sensitive data never leaves your device.
Developer Perks
Alongside the 2.0 release, we are also opening the all-new plugin marketplace. You can now use React + Tailwind to build MakerSNS AI plugins with their own UI, and connect them to your private APIs via the MCP protocol.
How to get started?
MakerSNS AI 2.0 is now available for all registered users to download. For education users, the feature is already included in the latest admin console.
